Cubed Talent are recruiting on behalf of one of the UK's leading providers of Modular Buildings who specialise in the design and build modular homes

Our client are looking to recruit Stores supervisor to join a fast-paced and dedicated team at Castleford.


Role Responsibilities

  • Ensure goods are unloaded from delivery vehicles in a safe and controlled manner at all times, ensuring full compliance with company Health & Safety procedures and risk assessments.
  • Manage the quality inspection of all received goods as per productspecific inspection criteria, liaising with procurement and manufacturing teams to overcome any supplier nonconformances.
  • Ensure that all materials, plant and tools are stored in a safe, secure and controlled manner and that product is issued to internal customers at the appropriate time and location to maintain high levels of workforce productivity.
  • Liaise directly with suppliers where suppliermanaged Kanban have been implemented, ensuring supplier personnel follow all relevant safety protocols when on site.
  • Ensure accurate stock control by ensuring all inventory items are transacted into and out of the correct inventory locations in a timely manner.
  • Monitor the accuracy of the onhand inventory count through regular cycle counting and stock audits as required, investigating and reporting on variances as required.
  • Liaise with logistics and procurement functions to ensure goodsinwards traffic is scheduled in accordance with goods receipt capacity.
  • Take a proactive approach in contributing to the development of lean systems and procedures and continuous improvement within the materials control function.
  • Ensure that exemplary standards of housekeeping are maintained at all times to provide a safe, efficient and controlled working environment.
  • Ensure that safe working practices are followed at all times to minimise any unnecessary risks to individuals themselves, other employees or third parties operating in or visiting the production environment.
  • Ensure that all tools, equipment and plant are used in accordance with safe operating procedures, and that any defective items are quarantined and that remedial action is taken.
  • Ensure that the materials control workforce is skilled, motivated and coordinated such that the department delivers a high quality, rightfirsttime service to internal customers.
  • Ensure each functional report is equipped with the necessary resources and information to carry out and/or coordinate activities within their designated areas.
  • Take overall accountability for individual and team performance with regard to attendance, timekeeping, work standards and behaviours, ensuring good performance in recognised and poor performance is managed in line with company policy.
  • Conduct regular performance and development appraisals with all reports, in line with company procedures.
  • Ensure all time and attendance information for the workforce is collected and logged using the relevant business systems to enable accurate payroll, planning, productivity and performance analyses to be conducted.
