Description
Our lovely client based in Birmingham City Centre is currently looking for a General Litigator.

Running under the supervision of more senior members of the team a caseload of general litigation matters to include:
General debt matters
Contractual disputes
Contentious Landlord and Tenant matters acting for both tenant and landlord in residential and commercial property matters
Boundary Disputes
General property disputes
Professional Negligence claims
Possession claims
Some Insolvency experience would be useful in assisting the Insolvency Team where necessary
Some Commercial Litigation experience would be useful in assisting the Commercial Litigation Team where necessary
Assisting in the collection of the firm debt


And Skills in:

  • Using Word, Excel, pdfDocs (or similar) and a case management system
  • Preparing Instructions to Counsel and Court bundles
  • Dealing with the preparation of List of Documents
  • Lodging documents in court using efiling
  • Advocacy when required
  • Working as part of a Team and under pressure
  • Building on the excellent reputation already established and help to develop their offering
  • Taking an active part in firm wide business development
  • Providing an excellent standard of client care and be able to manage client expectations
The role involves significant client contact and therefore someone with strong communication and client care skills is a must. You should be able to work under supervision, meet tight deadlines and exceed targets.

The role is based in the firm's Birmingham City Centre Office.


Hours: 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday - Friday, 1 hour for lunch (37.5hrs)
