Russell Court Nursing Home are a 40 bed Nursing Home based in Longfield.We are recruiting a Receptionist/Admin Assistant to be front of house and face of our home.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Position:
Receptionist
Responsible to:
Registered Manager
Aim of post:
- To provide the first point of contact for all visitors, ensuring a friendly welcome and the service they require.
- To ensure the smooth running of the reception and administrative functions of the home.
- To provide administrative support to the home manager, clinical staff and other members of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct self in such a manner as not to bring the home or its clients into disrepute.
- Meet and greet visitors, providing a helpful, warm and friendly welcome
- To answer the phone, take messages and direct to appropriate person.
- Make phone calls as requested.
- Contact residents/families/staff or any other party by telephone as require
- To input Covid testing and monitor compliance, reporting to the manager.
- To ensure that all visitors comply to entry requirements and maintain accurate records.
- Deliver residents post and newspapers.
- Arrange sympathy cards and any thank you cards as required.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- File correspondence as required. Ensure files are kept orderly and in date order.
- Provide administrative support such as pulling of records, photocopying, faxing etc.
- Attend and participate in team meeting, taking minutes when required.
- To provide refreshment for visitors.
- Make petty cash payments and take petty cash receipts.
- Assist Administrator to manage six monthly surveys and collate data.
- Assisting the Administrator in their duties.
- Check in deliveries form suppliers and delivery notes, ensure the right person is informed of arrival.
- Order supplies of furniture and sundries, as requested and approved by the manager.
- Maintain petty cash schedule for payments and receipts
- Agree cash in tins to petty cash schedules.
- Basic computer skills, including word processing and excel.
- Check first aid box monthly and replenish as needed
- Source birthday cards and gifts for staff and residents.
- To take control of the Homes Social Media
Competence and Development
This role requires the continuing commitment to professional development.
Ø Participation in annual appraisal and personal development planning.
Ø Undertake and training and development as agreed with the line manager at appraisal.
