The Role
A Role has become available for a Quality Systems Engineer at an Engineering company based in Leicester.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop the Quality Management System to meet the requirements of ISO9001, AS9100, NADCAP and other customer specific requirements.
- Maintain and develop Quality System Procedures ensuring that the contents meet the current and future needs of the business.
- Maintain and develop a comprehensive audit structure and corrective action reporting system to control and improve quality assurance throughout the business.
- Conduct Quality System audits and assist in the training and mentoring of other business auditors.
- Manage third party audits from preaudit preparation through to effective close out of nonconformances and recommendations.
- Coordinate the activities of the companies nominated external NDT Level 3 representative.
- Report on quality related Key Performance Indicators and use the data to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Act as a key stakeholder in the specification, selection and implementation of systems and processes to support the transformation of the business to a future digital environment.
- Lead quality related training activities through the business to support the development of a Zero Defect culture.
- Support other functional areas of the business in relation to quality assurance activities.
- Perform other duties as required which relate to the scope of the role.
- Worked within an Aerospace/Automotive production environment for a number of years
- HNC in Quality Related Discipline
- Experience of Quality related software and customer and 3rd party IT portals
- An understanding and alignment to Engineering Values; Respect, Integrity, Safety and Excellence
