What will I be doing?

Within the Landing Gears Integration Department, reporting to the Division's Supplier Performance Manager, you will structure the relationship with a group of suppliers specialized in special processes tier 1 and mainly tier 2 (heat treatments, surface treatment and CND) and manage their technical, logístical and quality performance, by exercising the following responsibilities:

Performance Management:

  • Consolidate supplier performance on a monthly basis (OTD/OQD). Ensure the consistency of the measurement made by suppliers. Establish, distribute and share the scorecard. Manage the quotation of special process suppliers.
  • Regularly communicate the performance of the special process supplier to this supplier, the machinist and internally to SLS.
Define, implement and monitor the action plan (internal or external) to improve the performance of the special process supplier.

  • Coordinate and lead a multidisciplinary team (Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain other SLS sites) around actions to improve the performance of the supplier network.

Risk management:

  • Conduct audits to ensure the ability of the supplier network to follow changes in pace.
  • Conduct load/capacity audits at the supplier.
  • Consolidate, implement, monitor the action plan resulting from audits and verify its effectiveness through measured performance.
  • Establish recommendations (in collaboration with the Purchasing and Quality functions) for the medium and long term development of the supplier network.
  • Evaluate industrial maturity, industrial risks and monitor risk reduction actions (in connection with RITO mapping and the treatment of these risks).

Crisis management:

  • Support production in the event of a major crisis at a supplier of special processes impacting the performance of SLS assembly lines (Analysis of work in progress, Line Of Balance, etc.)
  • Establish catchup plans with the special process supplier.
  • Manage a crisis unit, monitor the progress on the ground of the proposed action plan.
  • Prepare, organize and lead Steering Committees between supplier management, impacted manufacturers and SLS management until the situation is brought under control.
You will work in coordination with the Quality, Purchasing functions, and the network of machining suppliers.

Job requirements:

What do you need from me?


Education level:
Engineering or related technical Degree/HND or equivalent with demonstrable industrial experience.


You have real skills in:

  • Special processes: surface treatments and coatings, NDT, heat treatments
  • Project management / Production management and planning
  • Transversal management
  • Analysis, synthesis and restitution
  • Problem solving methodology (5P / Ishikawa / 8D / etc.)
  • Audit techniques
  • 6Sigma continuous improvement (Green Belt certification)
