Our Governors are seeking to appoint a new Clerk to Governors.

The Governing Body, through its appointed and elected governors, plays a distinctive and essential role in the continuing success and development of the school.

The Clerk's job is to work with the Chair, the Headteacher and other Governors,
dealing with administrative matters for the Governing Body. Central to this role is preparing for, taking notes at and producing minutes for meetings. Integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential.

St Faith's Church of England Infant and Nursery School is a popular school, which is highly regarded in the local community.

We have keen, considerate and enthusiastic pupils. Our parents are very supportive and our staff team dedicated and committed. We have high expectations of all pupils and provide every opportunity for children to excel both academically and socially. This position is from September 2023, but the opportunity to meet with the current Clerk in July, for a comprehensive handover would be beneficial.

New and experienced clerks will receive full support and training.

The post is paid at G4 and it based upon 4 hours per week, though the hours are dependent on the scheduling of the six full Governing Body meetings per year, and six Resources committee meetings.

Meetings will usually be held out of school
hours and will last approximately 2 hours. The Clerk may be asked to take on additional paid work for meetings according to need.

_Fluency Duty_:
