Operations Manager
Airmec Essential Services is one of the Uk's leading air and water treatment specialists. Operating on a national basis we are continuing to grow and are looking for key people to joinour journey.
Reporting to the Operations Director this role will include both upward and downward management and reporting within the business.
Ideally you will have experience of working on high security sites/healthcare and commercial sites delivering compliance, hard and soft facility management services with managerial or strong supervisory experience.
You will need to be flexible with days/hours and location, although most work is carried out during standard hours and from the office there will be a need to visit site and workwith the field teams.
In addition to managing the onsite team you will also be required to work closely with internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the delivery team is adequately resourced and has capacity for growth, including required security clearance and training needs.
- Manage the performance and continuous development of the service delivery team, including surveyors.
- Manage larger/more complex projects
- Oversee and manage all commercial aspects of service delivery
- Ensure service standards are maintained and developed in line with industry requirements
- Initiate and support continuous improvement of processes and systems
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety processes, regulation, and legislation
- Define recruitment/resourcing needs and ongoing development of the service delivery team, including regular site audits and competency reviews.
- Support internal projects and initiatives in line with business needs.
- Develop and maintain appropriate KPI's to support business needs
- Drive a positive culture within the organisation
- Deputise for MD/OD as required.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing larger projects and actively identifying and addressing risks and/or opportunities for the company.
This includes overseeing and assisting with complete service delivery from project order throughto completion - coordination internal/external resources to ensure a high level of customer service and service delivery standards met.
Overseeing and managing all aspects of Health & Safety for site work and operatives.You will occasionally undertake regular site quality, competence and health & Safety inspections
Experience/Skills/Qualification:
- Operational leadership within a similar industry
- An inclusive manager who promotes engagement across all teams
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to organise and prioritise workloads and tasks across multiple activities
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of the business
- Willing to travel to sites nationwide
Desirable:
- Professional qualifications within Engineering/Operations/Management or equivalent training and experience
- Work experience within an ISO compliant environment.
- On site H&S experience
- NEBOSH Qualified Health & Safety
