  • An exciting position has arisen for an experienced communications and public engagement professional to join our team at Eastleigh Borough Council.
  • The role
  • This role will be key to support delivery of Eastleigh Borough Council's new housing projects. You will be in charge of establishing and maintaining relationships with consumers, the local community, employees, and public interest groups through consultation activities, public events, press and other media communications.
  • You will contribute to the development of communication and engagement strategies, alongside building and delivering and measure targeted campaign plans, and you will support PR activity to generate positive media coverage and have input into reactive media issues.
  • One Horton Heath, our first development, is a 310acre mixeduse development being uniquely delivered by Eastleigh Borough Council and will see a mix of new homes of which 35% will be affordable, a new local centre, new 3form primary school, new employment and mixeduse retail space and include 125acres of undeveloped green space.
  • About you
  • We are looking for an experienced professional with demonstrable project communications and marketing experience in a B2C environment. Experience in the property / construction sector will be beneficial, especially of delivering public engagement and effective community activity, on time and within budget.
