FULL TIME - MOBILE FITTER - TOWER CRANES JOB
We have an exciting opportunity for a Mobile Fitter - Tower Cranes to work with one of the largest construction and plant companies in the UK.
Role Title:
Mobile fitter - Tower Cranes - FULL TIME
Function:
Asset & Technology Solutions - Strategic Assets - Tower Cranes
Location:
Nottinghamshire
Role Purpose:
To safely repair and maintain the fleet of Tower Cranes
Accountabilities:
- Repair and maintain tower cranes in line with relevant RAMS, policies and procedures and OEM requirements
- Ensure the depot is kept clean and tidy in order to facilitate a safe working environment
- Ensure relevant task briefings have been carried out prior to tasks undertaken
- To ensure the works are carried out in the most efficient and safe manner
- Notify the Service & Maintenance Manager of any matters that affect the progress of works (including breakdowns & damages, etc.)
- Actively & positively participate in Daily Activity Briefings and all relevant team briefings
- Undertake training as required to retain and obtain required competency levels
- To report any problems or safety issues to the Crane Supervisor / Manager
- To ensure a quality service is delivered to the customer
- Comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental
- To report all unsafe events and good practice events through the Balfour Beatty observation app
- Ensure all operations conducted in line with the minimum Balfour Beatty H&S standards
- Erection and dismantle of cranes on site as directed by the Service and Maintenance Manager
- Provide oral & written condition reports on BPH assets, notifying line management of any relevant issue
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs & feedback to the Service and Maintenance Manager
- Liaise with clients regarding machine access and subsequent repair
- Direct and/or assist manufacturers agents technicians carrying out repairs and / or maintenance work
- Return to the Depot as and when required under the direction of the Service and Maintenance Manager
Qualification (Desirable)
- Prior experience working with Terex, Potain and Wolffkran Tower Cranes
- CPCS Competent A04 Tower Crane Operator (Blue Card) with the following endorsements:
- A
- Trolley Jib (Cab Controlled)
- B
- Luffing Jib (Cab Controlled)
- C
- Trolley Jib (Remote Controlled)
- CPCS Competent A40 Slinger Signaller Card (Blue Card) with the following endorsements:
- A
- All Types
- All Duties
- CPCS Competent A61 Appointed Person
- Lifting Operations Card (Blue Card)
- CPCS Competent A62 Crane / Lifting Operations Supervisor Card (Blue Card)
- First Aid Qualification
Essential Experience
- Prior experience repairing and maintaining tower cranes
- Prior experience working with tower cranes on major construction projects
PAY
Tower Crane Technician
First
39 Hours (minimum if stood down) £19.00
Hours (minimum when working) £28.50
45 + Hours at x 1.5 £28.50
First
4 Hours Saturday at x 1.5 £28.50
Second
4 hours of Saturday at x 2.0 £38.00
All
8 Hours of Sunday at x 2.0 £38.00
