Staffco Direct is actively recruiting for Days/Nights Dispatch Assistants for one of our extremely well-recognized Clients based in Carrington.


We are looking for highly motivated, flexible drivers who are able to take on the company's ethos and assist us in the support of our client's day-to-day operations.


Scope and purpose of the role:

To ensure all loads are securely strapped using the Menzies Guidelines in preparation for drivers to take on the road.

Work closely with Shunters and Warehouse Operations team. Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are adhered to at all times. Assist the Management team to ensure that site departments key performance indicators and goals are achieved if not exceeded.

Constantly monitoring strapping securing standards with a view to enhancing efficiencies and direction whilst promoting a "team" ethos throughout with colleagues.

Key Duties and Accountabilities (will include but not be limited to):

  • Effective people co-ordinating, working closely with team member developing skills knowledge and competencies through coaching to achieve established goals
  • Secure all loads ensuring all guidelines are met.
  • Quality communication at all levels including management.
  • Query investigation and resolution.
  • Analysis, promotion and identification of areas for improvement.
  • Promotion and adherence to site policy and procedure.
  • Cross functional interaction (Inventory Transport, contractors)
  • Reporting accurate and timely shift productivity statistics
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment to ensure adherence to site Health and Safety policy.
  • Undertake any other duties that are reasonably requested.
  • Participation in project work.
  • Ensure site security policy is enforced.
  • Customer Service.

Technical skills and behavioral competencies:
- good communicator
- excellent working knowledge of warehouse environment and associated infrastructure.


Job Types:
Temporary, Permanent


Salary:
£11.58-£12.70 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Manchester: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Logistics: 1 year (preferred)
