Henrietta Hotel opened in 2017 in the heart of Covent Garden, the hotel is composed of 40 rooms, divided in two buildings.

The restaurant on the ground floor has been launched by Italian Supper Club last November. Drawing inspiration from the Italian food tradition, the menu explores new interpretations using local ingredients and products. The team mainly works with seasonal products and offers menus that are rich, generous and diverse.

Maintenance Supervisor at Henrietta Hotel


Location:
Covent Garden, London.


Reports to:
Hotel Manager

Full-Time - £35,000 per annum

We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to support in the care and maintenance of our hotel.

This role will be responsible for various operational matters including managing maintenance contractors and planning various renovation and repair projects.

Your goal is to ensure our premises are safe and functional for guests and employees alike.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Site Inspection

  • Regularly conduct full inspections of the hotel, restaurant, and kitchen, identifying areas of current and future maintenance work (painting, repairs, plumbing, electricity, etc.), as well as ensuring the proper functioning and overall presentation of the venue.
  • Be the main contact for all maintenance related issues.
  • Spot potential areas of improvement and take proactive measures to make improvements.
  • Regularly inspect all the emergency and safety tools, ensuring proper functioning.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess, identify and mitigate any safety vulnerabilities or gaps.
  • Be fully conversant in all Health & Safety policies and procedures and communicate with our Health & Safety Consultant to ensure the venues meets safety standards.

Operations

  • Be responsible for the overall maintenance of the venue's facilities and equipment.
  • Be responsible of the daytoday operations of the department, perform onsite repairs (repairs, alteration, installation of work, painting, plumbing, electricity, etc.).
  • Manage emergency maintenance needs acting quickly to resolve emergency issues.
  • Schedule the renovations and repairs in such a way it does not affect the venues operations and does not disturb the guests.
  • Implement an effective Plan Preventive Maintenance schedule for each venue, and keep it updated.

Contractors & Supplier's Relation**- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.

  • Be aware of all the maintenance contracts in place with the relevant companies.
  • Arrange and coordinate quotations from suppliers when major repairs and renovations are required.
  • Schedule and coordinate contractors and service providers.
  • Manage the onsite activity of all contractors.
  • Ensure the repairs conducted by contractors are done properly.

Stock & Reporting

  • Maintain records of all machinery and equipment including manufacturers details, specifications, and manuals.
  • Control and monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and ensure adequate stock.
  • Order all maintenance supplies.
  • In cooperation with the Hotel Manager, develop maintenance budget, and prepare necessary reports to ensure the budget is controlled, and that all expenses are kept in line with budget guidelines.

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Proactive, organized, and rigorous.
  • Problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Flexibility to respond quickly and positively to a range of work situations.
  • Proficiency with electrical, plumbing, painting, and Health & Safety standards.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
