Responsibilities as our Accommodations Resettlement Officer:

You will work alongside our Temporary Accommodations Team with a responsibility to support vulnerable people to prevent and relieve homelessness and to support them to move on to more suitable accommodation.

This will be achieved by assisting and encouraging customers to meet their personalised housing plans and helping them to access support from a wide range of agencies, with an aim to focus on the whole person to improve the customer's wellbeing and eradicate barriers to sustaining accommodation.


What we are looking for in our Accommodations Resettlement Officer:
You will
- be required to work with people to understand their housing and support needs, as well as their ambitions, strengths, and talents, with a view to increase their ability to cope and ultimately thrive- be responsible for working with other agencies that have a role in care and resettlement to ensure that appropriate support packages are provided to enable residents and tenants to sustain temporary housing and make the move to settled housing- have experience of working with clients towards a positive move into settled accommodation- have a knowledge of welfare benefits and the ability to assist with setting up a new tenancy- have a clear understanding of homelessness, the temporary accommodation journey and the issues facing households who find themselves in a housing crisis- display attention to detail and are able to identify clients' needs- have a current driving licence/car.
