cfdx is building the world's first AI precision neuroscience company.

We are at the start of our journey, first tackling the hardest problem in the space:
understanding the basis of neurodegeneration. We will be developing novel diagnostics and target discovery platforms to impact the lives of hundreds of millions globally.

We're looking for a motivated scientist to spend 3-6 months, full time, playing a key part in optimising and scaling up our data generation engine.

You'll be working with a variety of samples and techniques, as described below. There is an opportunity for this role to become permanent.


Key Responsibilities:

• Support our Senior Scientist in our lab
• Run DNA extraction, NGS library preparation and quantification
• Optimise experimental methods
• Run automation equipment
• Keep great lab practice, ensuring all work is written up clearly
• Present results to the team

Essential Requirements:

• Experience with DNA extraction
• Experience library preparation for nextgeneration sequencing methods, including but not limited to methylation approaches
• Experience with quantification via Qubit, TapeStation or qPCR
• Ability to deliver quality results fast with clear and proactive communication

Desirable:

• Expertise in molecular and / or stem cell biology
• Experience with assay development and optimisation
• Independence in experimental work and planning, with evidenced ability to design and execute scientific projects endtoend
• Awareness of major experimental developments and ability to discern meaningful scientific opportunities to pursue
