Based close to Nottingham City Centre in West Bridgford, DB Charles Recruitment are working with a brilliant business seeking to hire a permanent Senior Design Manager.

The business have grown rapidly over the last decade, evident in the increase in staff numbers, turnover and reputation within Construction & Environmental Services.

The Design & Consultancy division is a large team with 20 + and the main responsibilities for the role will be for the Senior Design Manager to lead a team of Design Managers and engineers, focussing on the delivery of a number of high profile civil engineeringprojects.

Some key day to day duties for the role will include:

People / team management
Resource management
Project delivery
Handling external 3rd party relationships
Ensuring all work is carried out in line with procedure and health & safety requirements
Reporting
Liaising with other internal teams
A previous background as a Design Manager / engineer with Highways experience as a must
Previous people / team management experience
Excellent MS Office skills
Experience working with CAD
Strong knowledge of design standards / procurement practices / technical planning
Strong attention to detail
Team player
Holds a full UK driving license
Happy to commit to a permanent role based at the offices in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire with hybrid working on offer

The role is a Monday to Friday position, 37 hours per week, offering a salary dependent on experience between £45,000 to £50,000 per annum with additional benefits on offer, such as:
