Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate Key Worker to provide support and care for children in a residential setting. Responsibilities include building relationships with the children, promoting their well-being, and assisting in their personal development. Strong communication skills, empathy, and teamwork are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Provide highquality care and support to children in the residential care home.
- Develop positive relationships with assigned children, acting as their advocate.
- Contribute to individual care plans and promote personal development.
- Assist in managing challenging behaviors using appropriate strategies.
- Offer emotional support and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure integrated care and progress monitoring.
- Act swiftly during crisis situations, following established protocols.
- Prepare written reports and documentation as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in residential care or similar settings preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Understanding of child development and traumainformed care.
- Empathy, patience, and respect for diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of relevant policies, regulations, and child protection procedures.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license may be required.
