The Yard is a leading Scottish charity working with children and young people aged 0-25 with additional support needs, and their families, through adventure play sessions in Edinburgh, Dundee and Kirkcaldy.

The Yard offers creative and inclusive play experiences in a well-supported environment, alongside wraparound support for the whole family. They provide a varied programme including youth clubs, respite, early years, schools and family play sessions. The Yard believe in fostering communities of friendship and peer support without judgement.

Overview:

Main responsibilities:

There are 3 main elements to this role; Operational, HR and Finance Administration.

Operational administration:

Maintenance of membership database.
Operational support such as designing posters on office packages, supplies processing.
Health and Safety checks and reporting.

HR Administration:

Maintain and update training records.
Support training workshop administration.
Maintain sickness records and prepare a monthly report for payroll.
Recruitment administration.

Finance Administration:

Financial filing and recordkeeping.
Basic use of QuickBooks, an online accounting system.
Raising invoices.
First line financial reconciliation.

What we are looking for:

Enthusiastic and willing to learn.
Personal Integrity.
Able to engage with a wide variety of people in person and on the phone.
Experience of team working.
IT literate, use of Microsoft packages desirable (although full training will be provided).
Excellent timekeeping.
High level of attention to detail.
Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Group scheme check (will be carried out by The Yard).
