Senior Compliance Officer - Property Finance Lender


A newly created opportunity is available for a Senior Compliance Officer to join a highly successfully property finance lender based in London.

Specialising within BTL and Bridging Finance lending, our client prides itself on service and finding workablelending solutions for their clients.


As Senior Compliance Officer you will be responsible for the provision of compliance/regulatory advice and support for all operational areas of the business, ensuring the company's regulatory and conduct risk appetite.


You will provide an effective 2nd line financial crime and data protection framework, plan, and maintain relations with 3rd line assurance.


You will own, develop and review all company policies (except credit), ensuring all employees are educated on the latest regulation, process, and good practice.


Experience required for the role of Senior Compliance Officer:

  • In depth working knowledge of applicable legislation and regulation relating to a mortgage firm incl. but not limited to FSMA, FCA Handbook (SUP, MCOB, PRIN, DISP, PERG) and GDPR.
  • Understanding of the FCA's supervisory frameworks
  • Minimum 3 years proven experience in compliance role at a mortgage lender
  • Strong knowledge of PRA & FCA regulation of mortgage industry including CBTL
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Able to hold their own with senior colleagues
  • Industry recognised qualification desirable but not essential.

Salary:

Up to £75k Basic + Bonus + Benefits
