Description
Teesside University is an ambitious and enterprising university for a focused and pragmatic global new generation. Focused on making a real difference to the lives of people and the success of businesses and the economy.

We have an exciting opportunity in the Department of IT and Digital Services for a proactive individual to undertake the role of Assistant Contracts Administrator and occasionally assist the departmental admin support team in providing PA services to the Director.

This is very much a key role in supporting the Department's core activities - you will be responsible for providing comprehensive high-level administrative support for a range of activities, including creating requisitions on our procurement system and helping us to manage our portfolio of contracts with suppliers of IT hardware, software and services.

You will have previous experience in a similar administrative role and have previous experience of undertaking some requisitioning, procurement or contract-related duties, along with excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to liaise with colleagues across the business.

You will be capable of maintaining accuracy and confidentiality, giving close attention to detail and be able to prioritise effectively while having the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

This role does not require any specialist or technical IT skills beyond those necessary for the duties mentioned above, and would certainly suit those with generic administrative skills and experience.

Please be advised that due to the minimum salary thresholds imposed by the UKVI, this post will not qualify for University sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route.

What we offer you:

  • A holiday entitlement of 185 hours (25 days), increasing to 28 and 30 days after 3 and 5 years' service respectively, plus bank holidays
  • Additional leave over the Christmas and New Year period during the Christmas closure
  • Special leave to support a range of circumstances
  • Hybrid working arrangements: Yes
  • Recruitment Pack Template
  • Flexi time scheme
  • A variety of provision to support staff with personal development and recognition
  • A range of family friendly benefits
  • An employee benefits platform which provides discounts with 350+ retailers and access to health and wellbeing resource
