Location:
Bridgwater - travel throughout Somerset area (drivers licence required).

Pay Rate to Intermediary:
£153.51 per day

Spinwell is recruiting for a Specialist Team Member for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.


RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SPECIALIST TEAM MEMBER

  • You will be responsible for planning and managing the delivery of our flood risk management and emergency response work via our contract framework, ensuring work is delivered on time, to the right standard and in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
  • You will assist the Team leader with developing the programming of work and coordinating its delivery through contractors.
  • You will create the necessary paperwork for each task and actively monitor its correct delivery.
  • You will provide effective leadership on health and safety matters and actively promote safe working practices.
  • You will ensure that site work fully complies with our health, safety and environmental policies.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE SPECIALIST TEAM MEMBER

  • You need to be an excellent leader as this role will cover for the Team leader in their absence.
  • You should have an understanding of flood risk management and priorities.
  • You should understand the principles of health, safety and wellbeing to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
  • Experience of managing contractors, CDM Regulations and working with partners and stakeholders is desirable.
  • You should be experienced in delivering and leading a program of work by planning, tracking, gathering and maintaining data/information (project management skills are desirable).
  • You need strong communication skills and experience of working with the public.
  • You should have the ability to use your initiative and work as part of a team to make decisions and achieve planned outcomes, taking remedial action where necessary.
  • SMSTS or equivalent site management essential
