WatchHouse is a specialty coffee group and roastery, with multiple, sites across London and soon to be opening in Bath.

We are passionate about people, products and spaces and look to elevate our customer's experience of a modern coffee shop environment.

We're looking for someone who can build great relationships within our Houses as we expand into new communities.


We are seeking a Senior Baker with previous experience working within an established bakery setting, slight different to the way we do things at out other WatchHouse locations, we'll be baking in House in Bath and the Senior Baker will head up the in House Bakery team.

Reporting into the Head Chef and House Manager.

Responsible for the bakery set up, the preparation and baking of our WatchHouse sweet and savoury offering. Products will be baked on a daily basis to be delivered to our houses the following day. Key to this role is attention to detail.

It will be the responsibility of the senior baker to deal directly with suppliers, keep on top of stock levels and ensure that the products produced meet the standards and specifications required by WatchHouse.


Overview of the Role

  • Previous bakery experience with a passion for producing products to a high quality standard following the clear food specs and recipes set out by the senior food team.
  • A thinker and a doer, able organise yourself and effectively also contribute positively to a growing business.
  • Ensuring the bakery is a well utilised and efficient workspace.
  • Assisting the Head Chef in any adhoc duties, training or planning as and when required for the business.
  • Oratory skills and your ability to communicate clearly with the senior food team and the rest of the employees at the CPU is key to the success of your role.

Professional Qualifications / Experience Preferred

  • 2 years minimum experience within a bakery setting at a senior level.
  • To be selfmotivated and take initiative within the role, problem solving and troubleshooting where needed.
  • Hold an utter passion for food, innovative development and delivery of high standards.
  • Can follow Health and Safety and Food Safety procedures meticulously.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail.
