BioPhorum are part way through a wholesale change of our enabling IT infrastructure.

Included in this project is a rollout of our SharePoint extranet service which will be used by 6000 of our customers.

This system is at the real heart of collaboration for our organisation, making this a real opportunity to impact how the bio-pharmaceutical industry gathers and collaborates on a massive range of shared interest initiatives.

As part of this, we've already rolled out SharePoint for internal use (approx. 100 users) so that our staff have an opportunity to become familiar with the technology before using it in a customer-facing manner.

The SharePoint extranet service, branded as The Hub, is live with appx. 200 users already on system spread across approx. 30 SharePoint sites. Over the course of the next year we need to migrate from our existing collaboration platform to the new SharePoint platform, including migration of existing content and users (appx. 6000 users requiring approximately 200 live sites in total).

On our roadmap are a range of subsequent initiatives to extend this use more broadly across our member community with different features being available to different types of members.

The entire SharePoint estate is based on Office 365 SharePoint online.

Primary responsibilities**- Ongoing work to ensure that The Hub provides a seamless collaboration service to our customer users, taking into account on-system business processes, user experience, etc.

Acting as technical owner of The Hub, including
Working with our SharePoint partner on any updates to the provisioning process of new sites
Ad hoc updates to live sites, their permissions model, etc. as required to respond to business need
Ability to make minor changes/edits to the SharePoint site(s) and SharePoint the site templates used by the provisioning engine to create them, both configuration changes and functional changes
Provide support to the User Community, either directly (internal BioPhorum users) or through the member community (external member users) as required, including delivery of training for internal users
Regular health checks & maintenance of SharePoint to ensure ongoing smooth operations in accordance with SharePoint design
Advise on best use of ongoing SharePoint functionality in the context of both internal and extranet SharePoint services
Configuration and management of managed meta data
Support associated aspects of the Office 365 infrastructure, e.g. Azure AD, Teams, O365 users, roles, etc.
Support project delivery teams throughout the lifecycle of change projects, specifically advising/owning SharePoint and M365 aspects of the projects
Ability to operate within a remote team, build relationships across the organisation and be selfmanaged to deliver outcomes

Experience required

A relevant degree / diploma, this could be Information Systems, Informatics, Computer Science, etc.
Relevant Microsoft certifications are highly desirable.
Demonstrable recent experience in a similar technical SharePoint administrator / site owner role
2+ years experience in an IT focused role
Excellent knowledge of using PowerShell to administer SharePoint configuration
Demonstrable SharePoint config skills, including the advanced use of PowerShell
Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and Azure is highly desirable
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE would be advantageous but is not essential
Excellent broad operational IT background managing data, working on IT projects, testing, etc.
