An extremely exciting position has become available for a Principal Designer to join a successful international architectural practice.

With a fantastic reputation, this architectural practice takes on some of the largest, most influential construction projectsand they require a new Principal Designer to join their team.

The role of the Principal Designer

As the successful Principal Designer, you will advise the project team members on all aspects of CDM compliance in accordance with current UK legislation.

Manage a portfolio of projects at various stages for internal and communicating design risk with client.
Advise on all aspects of CDM2015 compliance throughout project conception
CDM Documentation, preconstruction information and health and safety plans
Act as point of contact for all aspects of health and safety and CDM compliance.
Prepare and issue the health and safety file
Help develop the role of Principal Designer and develop in house training plans

The Successful Principal Designer
The successful Principal Designer should ideally hold the following:

NEBOSH General / Construction Certificate
Diploma Level 6 preferred
Membership of the Association of Project Safety (APS) preferable
Hold qualification in a design or engineering related discipline desired
Good interpersonal and communication skills and able to build good working relationships
