Purple Giraffe Recruitment - Machine Operator / Welder

Night shift is Sunday starting at 10pm - 6am for 5 days - salary is 33k + excellent benefits.


We are looking for 3 x Machine Operator to work with operate electric/hydraulic presses to produce high quality parts in a unique manufacturing company in Coatbridge.

Machine operators will ensure equipment is well-maintained and operated in a safe and efficient manner.


Machine operators will maintain daily work records and you will ensure quality control is met by 100% inspection of the products you will manufacture.


Main responsibilities

  • Follow all work orders, drawings and operating procedures to ensure high yield and optimum running conditions.
  • Adjust press as needed within the company guidelines to ensure high yield.
  • Operate HMI screen to select, load or save operating programs.
  • Measure, weigh, examine and record data for all parts to ensure they are within specification and meet company standards.
  • Typical measuring equipment such as micrometre, vernier, drop gauge, balance used for measuring.
  • Monitor and control presses daily to maintain daily and weekly production schedule.
  • Complete quality checks and paperwork every day to maintain production control and company standards.
  • Make sure work environment remains safe, tidy, clean and wellmaintained by performing general housekeeping duties throughout shift
  • Tool setting, tool maintenance and tool management.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and maintain assigned machines and equipment as needed for maximum product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Work as part of a team to drive for results and meet overall company goals.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain press machines to produce highquality products
  • Set up and adjust machine settings for different materials and specifications
  • Monitor production process to ensure efficiency and quality control
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines
  • Handle materials and package finished products according to specifications
  • Use hand tools to assemble and fabricate components as needed
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

Experience:


  • Previous experience operating press machines or similar equipment is preferred
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management
  • Experience with tooling, welding, or other related skills is beneficial
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing highquality work

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills
