Description
Previous experience maintaining machinery and building fabric would be highly advantageous.

Hours - Monday - Friday


Role:


Routinely check machine guards, safety devices, oil levels, etc for a wide range of factory plant and equipment, in accordance with maintenance schedule.

Prepare injection mould tooling for use by production in accordance with manufacturing schedule. Carry out maintenance and repairs on mould tools.

Carry out general site maintenance and repairs to the factory and offices. To include joinery, electric installation, plumbing and groundworks.

Take weekly meter readings for electricity, water, oil usage etc.


Routinely check condition of forklift trucks and works vehicles and carry out minor remedial work, such as topping up batteries, replacing bulbs, inflating tyres etc.


Routinely check fixed services for correct operation to comply with relevant legislation, such as emergency lighting, fire alarm, racking and ladder inspection, LEV system and chiller refrigerant.

Carry out the weekly fire alarm test. Check condition of fire extinguishers across site.


Arrange third party contractors to carry out site works, such as crane and lifting gear checks, insurance inspection, servicing and repair of factory machinery and plant.

Work with the Maintenance Technician and other departments to complete facility improvement projects.

Carry out bacterial dip slide testing on machine cutting fluid.

Adhere to the highest levels of Health, Safety and Environmental practice at all times.

Undertake deliveries and collections for the company.

Carry out any other reasonable duties that are within your capabilities as requested by the Maintenance Technician.


Experience / Qualifications:

Experience maintaining various machinery within a manufacturing environment.

Experience carrying out building fabric maintenance (joinery, plumbing, grounds work etc )
