Summary
The Production Supervisor is accountable for delivering all manufacturing targets for the department working closely with the Unit Lead and Production.
Overseeing the operations on our 3-11pm shift, between Monday to Friday. Flexibility on 7-3pm or 10-6pm shifts will also occasionally be required, particularly during initial training.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain head count and manufacturing spend within the agreed financial budget
- Drive efficiencies through Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement programmes
- Ensure compliance with all GMP, Regulatory & Corporate requirements.
- Work closely with the QA team to drive process improvements
- Cover production staff where necessary to ensure the product is being released on time
- Get results through proactive leadership, coaching and motivation of the manufacturing team
- Ensure all reviews are completed and all key staff have development plans in place
- Ensure adequately trained personnel are available to meet the needs of the business
- Ensure the manufacturing facility follows current GMP guidance
- Take decisions on prioritising demand requirements ensuring patients and customers receive product on time in full
- Ensure production schedule is being met
- Manage rota's, holiday, absence and attendance
Qualifications
- Experience in a supervisory role working to GMP guidelines
- The ability to lead and motivate a team built up of Team Leader and Production Operatives
- Experience working to LEAN manufacturing techniques
- KPI motivated
- Clean room experience would be desired but not essential
- The ability to challenge staff and improve processes
- Self motivated
- Experience working in a busy manufacturing environment
- Excellent initiative
- Aseptic technique experience would be beneficial
- Strong Leadership and management skills; Coaching, mentoring and motivation.
- Organisational, Problem solving and communication
