Abbeycare Scotland are currently seeking a proactive and technically proficient IT Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis.

As an IT Assistant, you will be responsible for data and phone network administration and management, local asset management, end user support, password management, security policy implementation, firewall and router management, cabling offices, cloud software maintenance, and configuration of Windows laptops and desktops.

• Provide network administration and management, ensuring the smooth functioning of our IT infrastructure.
• Manage local assets, including hardware and software inventory, to maintain accurate records.
• Assist end users with daytoday software and hardware queries, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing timely solutions.
• Oversee password management and enforce security policies to protect company data.
• Contribute to management of IT policies and procedures.
• Manage firewall and router configurations to maintain network security.
• Install and configure Cat 6 cabling in offices as needed.
• Handle IP phone management and configuration to ensure seamless communication.
• Configure Windows laptops and desktops, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Liaise with our 3rd party suppliers as necessary.

• A minimum of 2 years of previous experience in IT administration is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of network administration and management is essential.
• Experience with firewall and router management.
• Strong experience in Draytek managed router and switch products.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and Windows software issues.
• Familiarity with password management and implementation of security policies.
• Experience of Cat 6 cabling installation in complex installations.
• Familiarity with cloud software management and backup processes.
• Experience in configuring Windows laptops and desktops, NAS servers.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical users.
• Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to providing highquality service.
• Proactive and adaptable approach to handling ITrelated challenges.
• Flexibility to work 20 hours per week as a parttime role.
