Are you ready to make a real impact in your community while working for a charity that values creativity, positivity, and determination? Look no further We're on the lookout for a dynamic individual to join our Knowsley Temporary Accommodation Housing Management Service team as a Housing Officer.


The Company:


We're working directly with one of the North West's largest award-winning housing associations, they are a major force in tackling homelessness, poverty and disadvantaged individuals.

They are the main partners with all of the councils, and other housing associations in the area and have scored over 90% in their satisfaction surveys from both staff and clients.

As a Housing Officer in Knowsley, you'll be the front-line hero working closely with our Housing Manager to provide top-quality housing management services.

Your role is crucial in ensuring homeless individuals receive the support they need.

Here's a glimpse into what your days will look like:


Main Purpose:


  • Rapidly respond to the needs of vulnerable individuals in temporary accommodation.
  • Manage daily operations and provision of accommodation in Knowsley.

Principle Accountabilities:


  • Provide intensive housing management, ensuring residents understand their responsibilities.
  • Maximise income by collecting rent, license fees, and service charges regularly.
  • Offer advice on tenancy matters, welfare benefits, and rehousing requests.
  • Maintain personal and professional boundaries with clients, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Conduct regular visits and inspections to ensure accommodation is in topquality condition.
  • Collaborate with choicebased lettings for property bidding processes.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Experience in supported housing or property/tenancy management.
  • Passion for working with people with complex needs.
  • Ability to manage financial transactions and maintain accurate records.
  • A knack for problemsolving and timely decisionmaking.
  • A minimum of 12 months' experience of working within the housing, care and support and / with adults who can display challenging behaviour.
  • Experience of working in general needs housing / tenancy management / homelessness services/delivery of housingrelated support, combined with a desire and aptitude for helping people to maintain independence.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A good standard of numeracy and literacy skills (minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Mathematics and English).
  • The ability to work respectfully with clients, colleagues and other agencies particularly during times of stress, uncertainty and periods of change.
  • To fully understand what 'safety' and security means for clients and how this is to be provided.
  • Understanding of safeguarding children and adults and protection of vulnerable adults' legislation and of its practical implementation.
  • Driver with access to your own vehicle.

The Contract:


This is a temp-to-perm position, you will initially be employed via us, as we are completing the employment and compliance checks for this client.
