The Intermediate Care and Discharge to Assess Beds Team has a vacancy for a full-time Band 6 Physiotherapist. We would be happy to consider part-time hours.You would be joining a supportive team of qualified therapists and therapy support workers to provide senior clinical leadership to deliver quality care to our Intermediate Care Rehabilitation Beds and Discharge to Assess Beds in care homes in and around the Stevenage, Hertfordshire area.
The post holder will deliver a complex package of high quality healthcare including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and advice to patients with various needs - including orthopaedics, care of the elderly, neurology.
The post holder will deputise for the Lead Therapist as necessary

To undertake a significant clinical caseload to a high professional standard, using specialist knowledge and skills from theoretical and practical experience
To be responsible for the supervision, education and assessment of junior staff, technical instructors and students
To hold clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients, and to organise this efficiently and effectively with regard to clinical priorities and use of time, working without direct supervision.
To lead the therapy team's in-service training programme in conjunction with the other Band 6 therapists
To actively participate in the education of physiotherapy students and work experience students
To ensure that own clinical practice and that of line-managed staff meet the required professional standards for physiotherapy practice
