Test Engineer ISEB / ISTQB Banking London We have a new and exclusive opportunity for a ISEB / ISTQB certified Test Engineer to join our banking client as they invest in their Test Engineering team

This is already a strong team, but there is a real focus on, making the Test Engineering team a centre of excellence going into 2023

The test engineering teamwork in T Shaping engineering so it is important you are comfortable in this environment

Requirements: Background as a ISEB / ISTQB certified Test Engineer
As the Test Engineer, you will be working closing with the SCRUM Master and Agile manager to create the most effective test strategies

As the Test Engineer, your role will include
- understand Functional and Technical documentation (Requirements / Design) and create appropriate Test Scenarios based on the Test Approach

Understand the Test Strategy and the Test Approach proposed. Challenge the approach where required. Propose an alternate approach if required
Peer Review Test Scenarios / Test Cases and execute the scenarios / test cases
Excellent Defect Management Skills.

Whilst we develop and test many systems, this role will benefit someone who has worked in the financial market, preferably settlement, with experience of working with cross location teams contributing to business and infrastructure change and has workedon projects that follow different Methodologies (Waterfall, V-Model and Agile).

A proven understanding of the full project lifecycle and financial markets is required.

Role requirements for Test Engineer

Background as a ISEB / ISTQB certified Test Engineer
Experience in automation and manual testing
Experience in banking/ financial services essential, with settlements beneficial but full training will be given

This is a really interesting role where your role day to day will be much more than just standard test cases.

You will be a T-shaped member of the agile squad and gain exposure to Test automation and new tools / learn new technology

There are also some really key projects expected into 2023, including new settlement systems, new commodities platform, migration and automation projects, and investment in Java and Kafka integration tools

This is thus a brilliant opportunity for the right test engineer to really thrive
