An opportunity has arisen for a Placements Commissioning Officer to lead the commissioning process for short breaks for disabled children.

The post will also complete other brokerage activities as required by the team. The successful applicant will need to work effectively as part of a team and equally under their own initiative to support the responsibility of the Commissioning service

The post holder will be required to

  • Process requests from social workers/area teams
  • Liaise with external providers
  • Keep accurate records on Mosaic
  • Communicate with social work teams and Liaise with duty worker/team to review ongoing search progress and record information around searching activities.
  • Liaise with external providers
  • Raise purchase orders, individual placement agreements and monitor invoices and cost
