£25,000-£28,000 PAPlus additional sleeps at £65 per night.
We have a great opportunity for a Team Leader to join our brand new home in Kirkham.
To support our young people in their safe and nuturing environment, to help them excel and meet their full potential.
This role is uited to individuals thats have a genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them to improve their lives and meet their future goals.
Duties and responsibilities:
The core purpose of the role of the Team Leader is:
Leadership and Management
- The general leadership and management of a shift, including a team of staff and young people.
- The day to day management of all aspects of the shift, including its programmes and activities, and ensuring that it operates in a smooth, effective and efficient manner.
- Being a good role model for other staff by fulfilling his/her responsibilities to a high standard.
- Collecting agenda items for meetings from members of the care staff team.
- Taking his/her turn in taking minutes of meetings.
- Training new staff in care staff procedures and routines.
- Playing his/her part in identifying and assessing a young persons needs on placement.
- Being a Key Worker to a young person.
- Writing the young person's Placement Plan.
- For monitoring the implementation of the plan.
- Attending internal review meetings, and for preparing progress reports.
- Building positive relationships with each young person to ensure that his/her needs are met.
- Making sure that all activities for young persons are assessed for risk and are well planned, organised and adequately supervised. Ensuring that staff are involved in the activities.
Assist the Registered Manager/ Deputy Manager in providing an emotionally secure, consistent, warm, supportive and caring environment for the young people and to encourage their social, physical, emotional intellectual and moral development so that they may realise their own potential.
It is required to have a mininum of 2 years experience in a care setting and preferably a Diploma/ NVQ in children and young people in a health care setting or equivelent or be willing to complete in a 2 year period.
