Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain modular rigging system
- Drive the strategy of the animation pipeline, tools, and processes, including batch and procedural processes of keyframe animation and mocap data.
- Proactively locate the existing inefficient procedures and potential problems, drive the evolution strategy of the animation pipeline.
- Develop skinning tools in Maya
- Assist the animation team in troubleshooting animation problems as they arise.
Requirements:
- More than six years' experience with Houdini, familiar with asset packaging, able to handle complex geometric rules, good grasp of SOP, LOP, SHOP, VEX & Python and other related technical software.
- Proficiency in procedural environment modeling, such as building terrains, architectures, roads, plants, rivers, rocks, etc.
- Familiar with game production pipeline. Able to understand requirements and solve problems creatively.
- Familiar with basic programming languages (such as C#) and shader language. Able to write C++ code.
- Optimize art workflows according to changes in narrative, art and programing in project development, and create technical specifications for art resource development based on the result of performance testing.
- Good teamwork spirit and communication skills. Have an in-depth understanding of the working style of game designers and programmers and able to work together with them. Support artists and programmers to solve technical problems.
- Experience with 3D modeling, texturing, and knowledge of 3D graphics are preferred.
