Rail & Innotrax Team Leader

Job Purpose and Reporting


The Rail & Innotrax Team Leader has an important role in ensuring that line targets are met in terms of productivity, quality and accuracy, and maintaining high standards of motivation, efficiency and health and safety.

The Rail & Innotrax Team Leader reports to the Process Leader of that area.

The post-holder is expected to carry out the following responsibilities in a pro-active manner and to a high standard.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Supervise the day to day running of a manufacturing area and ensure production and quality targets are met.
  • Working with our MRP system for production demand, planning & stock control,
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure delivery of completed and correct works orders.
  • Ensure safe working practices and conditions are maintained.
  • Maintain standards of discipline in line with company procedures.
  • Increase motivation of the workforce through team building activities, involvement in decision making and through good communication.
  • Train and multiskill operatives as required.
  • Ensure ontime delivery in full to despatch
  • Ensure quality and process conformance.
  • Actively participate in team or project based activities where required.
  • Maintain consistent 5S and housekeeping standards within the manufacturing areas.
  • Work with the Process Leader to organise training plans for staff.
  • Deputise for the Process Leader as required.

Person Specification

Qualifications, knowledge and experience

Essential

  • A supervisory qualification: NEB'S or NVQ level 2 or above
  • Experience working in ERP systems.
  • Experience in a warehouse environment
  • CNC Machining experience
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety in the workplace
  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy
  • Computer literate
  • Forklift License

Skills and abilities

Essential

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Skilled relationship builder with ability to build trust and contribute to positive relationships.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Digital and IT literate, fully confident in Microsoft Office packages
  • Demonstrable people management skills
  • Methodical in approach
  • Ability to use initiative where required.
  • Ability to cope well under pressure.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
Up to £23,000.00 per year
