Job description:
As Head of ICT Service Delivery at No10 you will be working to the Chief Technical Officer, managing between 5 to 7 technical staff.
You will do these things by ensuring services are developed in a timely fashion, in line with business, security and legal requirements and that they are maintained, managed and supported effectively.
Your main key duties include:
- Leading the ICTS technical delivery team and ensuring appropriate skills are in place throughout the team, that resources and capacity are in place to deliver services
- Overseeing and running the ICT services for No10 staff, managing the ICT service delivery management function at a senior level including the project management cycle
- Acting as an escalation point for technical, security and business requests, major incidents, problems, and cyber security measures.
Person specification:
This role oversees the development, implementation, delivery, maintenance, and management of ICT Services through their full lifecycle.
All the services support No10 business areas so they must be robust, fit for purpose, compliant legally, follow Government policy and security standards.
Along with this they must fit and support business requirements and demonstrate value for money.
You will be expected to work mainly on site or at local offices in London, occasionally you will be required to visit remote office locations across the UK to manage infrastructure and/or equipment.
Please note this work could also involve trips abroad where you may be required to assist the team supporting the remote Private Office for PM trips or other role related work.
-Project Management. You will implement a strong process driven project management working ethos. Where you advocate the use of agile delivery methodology across the team and help build understanding and capability across all teams, including coaching senior stakeholders and managing expectations through.

Service Management Knowledge. You will have an expert understanding of Service Management Framework and an industry understanding of how to implement the framework into the environments you manage.

Ownership and Initiative. You will lead investigative work into ICT Service problems, take accountability of ICT issues and problems that occur and be proactive in searching for potential solutions. You will know how to achieve excellent user outcomes and implement them.

Finance and Asset Management This work will involve writing business cases, overseeing tendering for new contracts, and managing existing supplier contracts. You will also oversee management of all ICT assets for systems, ensuring they are logged, monitored, secured and controlled appropriately.

Continual Service Improvement. You will know how to analyse current processes, identify, and implement opportunities to optimise processes, and lead and develop a team of technical experts to deliver service improvements. You will work with Service Support, No10 Security, and other Government Departments to evaluate and establish requirements for the implementation of changes by setting policy and standards.

Relationship Management/Business Analysis. You will fully contribute to your team's technical and resourcing strategic vision and direction. You will understand how to run business analysis on technological requirements, know how to positively influence important strategic stakeholders and prioritise their needs and requirements.
