As a Head of Quality, Teaching, Learning and Assessment (HQTLA) you will take on a leading role in achieving teaching and learning excellence.
Working closely with the Assistant Principal for
Sixth Form, you will implement and monitor the college's strategy as we push on in our journey from Good to Great


Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

  • Empowering staff to seek constant improvement in teaching, learning and assessment practices by being an inspirational leader who has built up strong working relationships with the curriculum team
  • Ensuring a highquality student experience that leads to outstanding achievement, progression and employability outcomes for all students
  • Leading a team while sharing best practice and innovations crosscollege to enhance the quality of teaching, learning and assessment
  • Developing policies and procedures to ensure the college complies with the relevant legal duties
  • Produce reports and analyse the information to make databased quality decisions
  • Championing our commitment to putting students first
  • Promoting our values of fairness, respect & equality

  • Have deep knowledge of teaching, learning and assessment practices as it relates to quality
  • Make a point of staying involved and at the forefront of teaching and learning by modelling the latest practices and keeping up with the research and wider space
  • Want a leadership role within a Sixthform curriculum that's on the leading edge of learning and willing to push boundaries
  • Be autonomous and driven, able to make difficult decisions while helping create excellent continuous development programmes for staff colleagues
  • Be excited to bring fresh ideas to the table and help us constantly improve
