**Are you Operations/Service technician with Industrial Water experience?

Then we want to talk to you**The Operations Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining the industrial water and wastewater treatment plant and associated equipment to achieve water quality targets and ensuring continuous operations without impact to the system.

The Operations Technician will be expected to drive operational excellence and significantly improve the safety, reliability and efficiency of the water treatment plant.

The role will be predominantly operational shift cover between the hours of 16:00 - 00:00 Monday to Friday, during periods of annual leave, the operations technician may be required to cover day shifts Instead of their normal shift.

The role will cover all operational aspects required to successfully operate the plant, Including but not limited to, Process sampling, sample analysis, operating a centrifuge, operating valves to optimise the running of the plant, housekeeping, data gathering,data, chemical handling.

What will I be doing

• Work within the client and SUEZ HSE systems
• Contribute costsaving ideas that will help deliver value to the client and a sustainable and fair profit margin for SUEZ
• Write and update task Risk Assessments and Method Statements
• Complete any assigned actions in a timely manner (via the OnTrack system)
• Develop & Maintain professional relationships with Customer personnel, SUEZ Industrial Water and subcontractor staff
• Gain recognition by the Customer as a reliable O&M 'expert practioner'
• Build recognition with Customer for high performance plant operations
• Respond to emergencies, including emergency request for deployment to operational contracts
• Identify faults, evaluate rectification measure and to make initial recommendations, in order to complete implement process change or basic repairs
• Gather all systems information and complete plant logs to understand the function and operation of the ETP on the site
• Utilising plant information, identify any changes in system performance and/or potential operational problems, evaluate and make initial recommendations to return plant to its optimum operating condition
• Be prepared to work out of region if the business requires additional support (UKwide)
• 4.5 ER, Private Health Care and Life Assurance.

What are the requirements

• Experience of operating Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Plant
• Experience of maintaining mechanical equipment
• To be able to demonstrate through previous work experience, an ability to interpret technical information to affect changes on the plant
• Demonstrate the ability to work within a quality system
• Ability and knowledge to complete basic repairs and maintenance
• IT literate
• NVQ in relevant discipline (Desirable)
• Relevant training in Environmental Health and Safety
