We are looking for a
Transport Planner who will be responsible for all functions in the planning and logistics of the transport movements carried out by
On Logistics on behalf of its clients.

You will enable a world class service to our clients while achieving profitable growth in our transport services.


What we need from you:

• Have an excellent geographical knowledge
• Be client driven
• Have a good knowledge of EU Driver's Hours Regs
• Able to manage compliance in line with legislation including maintenance planning/ drivers checks
• Experienced at managing vehicle profitability/ route planning / quoting
• Able to respond to external and internal customers in a prompt efficient manner by developing strong relationships
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise, remaining calm under pressure
• Have an abundance of selfmotivation with excellent problem solving skills
• Have an excellent work ethic & attitude
• Be able to adapt to a flexible work pattern
• Have commercial acumen and good negotiating skills

What the role involves:

The role involves the day-to-day running of our small fleet as well as managing sub-contract suppliers.

You will also be responsible for sourcing and quoting for work to build up a regular portfolio of clients and shipments.

You will:

• Ensure the daytoday tasks of booking on client's transport requirements is completed in a timely and effective manner.
• Ensure the service levels received for our customers are at a high standard and meet their needs
• Provide quotes and negotiate with clients ensuring price and service meet clients' needs
• Liaise and negotiate with supplier to deliver profitability as well as retaining our high standards of delivery
• Ensure effective route planning and vehicle profitability
• Build transport runs based on the most efficient and costeffective ways possible
• Ensure consignments are optimised by efficient planning and use of our vehicle fleet
• Build effective relationships with clients to build trust leading to growth of accounts

This is an office-based Hybrid role; therefore, we do expect the successful individual to work from our office, close to Birmingham Airport.

£25,000.00-£27,500.00 per year
