Description

Senior People & Culture Advisor

  • Full Time (but open to 4 days)
  • Permanent
  • Milton Keynes
  • 23 days in office
- £35-40k

About the role
We are looking for a People & Culture superstar to join our growing team at WorkBuzz.

This is a newly created role to directly address centralising all people operations into one place, and to have someone really champion our culture and lead from the front in terms of giving our people a fantastic employee experience.

The role is split into two areas, that we need you to be brilliant at:

  • Operations: coordinating administration and giving advisory to both employees and line managers, across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Champion: key member of our Ministry of Magic and at the forefront when thinking about how and when we bring our people together.

Reporting to the part-time People & Culture Director, you will manage HR administration and advisory across the entire employee lifecycle.

You will facilitate onboarding, from offer letters to HR induction, monitor probation periods, set up probation and performance reviews in HiBob, and escalate issues as needed.

You are able to provide guidance to line managers and employees on HR policies.

You'll be the go-to person for all things HR and partner closely with the Office Manager to ensure onboarding excellence.

Importantly, you'll take a leading role in championing our culture at WorkBuzz.

That means you're a key member of our Ministry of Magic, driving momentum and holding others to account in delivering what we've promised.

When we organise company gatherings, business updates, events and celebrations, you are always one step ahead with ideas and solutions, rolling up your sleeves to get stuck in.

You'll partner with our People & Culture Director on analysing the results of our regular pulse survey, collaborating on ways to best communicate the results and make recommendations on potential actions.

It's important that we practice what we preach Finally, you are a trusted, loyal, discreet and approachable person who supports all of our people at WorkBuzz.

About you

You are someone who has worked in a HR or People Operations role for at least 2-3 years, ideally in a small team where you've operated as a real generalist, getting involved in more than just 'the back-office stuff'.

You're someone who loves looking for opportunities to improve the employee experience, with an ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes and ask whether we could be making things clearer, better, or more interesting.

Ideally, you've got good experience in using a HRIS and using collaborative tools or platforms to get work done.

For your interest, in the P&C team we currently use HiBob as our HRIS, Trello for team to-do's, and the whole company uses Trainual to find employee information.

Given the nature of our platform, you'll be someone who is super interested in employee engagement.

You've got a natural ability to put people at ease with your communication style and you prefer spending time collaborating with people and being proactive in getting involved with stuff.

This is not a back-office, "here's the handbook" type of role. This is a "get involved in everything, be curious, have fun and focus on relationships" role.

You are the face of the business in representing our culture.

You'll need to know who we are inside and out so that when you meet with new employees or prospective WorkBuzz team members, you're a solid example of "what a WorkBuzz person looks like".

You are direct yet kind, fun yet highly professional and you are utterly reliable.
