We are hiring a General Operative for a leading manufacturer in the timber production industry.

As a General Operative you will play a crucial role in our client's operations, assisting in various tasks related to timber product manufacturing and contributing to the overall success of the team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and packaging of timber products for shipment.
• Perform quality checks on timber products to ensure they meet our industryleading standards.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain inventory accuracy and facilitate smooth operations.
• Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the work area.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of raw materials.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with timber products is preferred.
• Experience in factory roles
• Ability to follow clear instructions
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks accurately.
• Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and meet deadlines
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management purposes
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.

Hours
07:00 - 16:00

Monday to Thursday

06:00 - 12:00

Friday


Pay
£11.44 p/h starting
Pay review and increases every 12 weeks
