Are you passionate about supporting tenants and preventing homelessness through effective rent arrears recovery? Were hiring a Rent Arrears Recovery Officer for a hybrid working position in Sutton.

This role offers a competitive rate of £24.23 per hour UMB P/H, with the option of PAYE at up to £19.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure timely collection of rent arrears for both landlord and non-landlord debts, emphasizing personal contact with tenants.
Implement councils rent collection policies and procedures to prevent escalation of arrears and mitigate serious debt and homelessness risks.

Identify tenants facing difficulties in meeting rent and other bill payments, offering debt counseling, advice, or referrals to the Financial Inclusion Team.

Refer tenants to internal and external support agencies as needed to sustain tenancies and provide ongoing support.
Monitor rent accounts regularly to identify cases requiring further enforcement action, especially tenants with court orders or introductory tenancies.

Additional Information:
Hybrid working arrangement, based in Kingston Guildhall 2 office with 1 day required in the office per week.
Minimum 3-month duration with possibility of extension.
