Job Vacancy - Workshop Controller

We are advertising for a Workshop Controller for our Lee Mill Depot.

The job involves the day to day running of the HGV workshop & office on a day shift basis.

This is a office based role working in co-operation with our 3 technicians & our test lane administrator whom also assists with this role.

Hours: 8am - 4.30pm

Day to Day tasks will encompass the following;

Call handling for work bookings & breakdowns
Monitoring & planning of inbound/outbound vehicles for repair
Liaising with customers for future bookings
Assigning jobs to technicians to ensure good work flow
Updating customers where necessary with work progression
Obtaining work authorisations where necessary or producing estimates
Picking of stock from stores for jobs in progress
Liaising with the Exeter Parts Department for pricing of parts or arranging customer collections
Pre-Checking of completed job sheets to ensure all work is completed & paperwork is complete before sending for central pricing
Day to Day running of MOT Lane bookings when the ATF Lane Administrator is away.
Various other miscellaneous duty as required to ensure smooth running of the depot.
