Job summary:

  • To provide high standard of Physiotherapy Service to Outpatients which includes assessment, advice, treatment and patient management.
  • To assess, develop and implement individual treatment programmes for patients with a variety of Musculoskeletal clinical needs including Orthopaedic conditions, Rheumatology conditions, Spinal assessments and surgical interventions.
  • To contribute to service development, support peers and on occasion lead on particular service development initiative.
  • To comply with statutory requirements for physiotherapy and with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy standards and codes of professional conduct.
  • This is a 5 day fixed working rota with shift patterns. You will be expected to work from multiple work locations across Harrow on fixed work days and shift patterns.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To take daytoday responsibility for the clinical leadership, delivery and management of team.
  • Plan and organise this efficiently and effectively with regard to patient management and use of time.
  • To flexibly manage responsibilities for own complex clinical caseload, service delivery, and teaching commitments.
  • To manage changes in service and staffing, both planned and unpredictable, and support other staff with caseload management.
  • To respond to informal complaints.
  • To contribute to the investigation of formal complaints about the service and draft or review initial responses. To take a lead in the development of the specialist clinical area/team and develop objectives and projects for the team.
  • To lead or play an active part in working groups which formulate and implement clinical and nonclinical policies, protocols, pathways and guidelines within the physiotherapy service, Trust and external agencies
