Legal Secretary / Legal Administrator

Full time permanent role - fully office based

Mon - Fri, office hours

Haywards Heath based. Close to mainline station and local parking.

Salary £28000-£32000 depending on experience plus excellent company benefits

Previous experience with a Legal Secretary / Legal Administrator role is essential for this exciting new opportunity.

Our client


Our client is a forward-thinking business focused law firm who are based in a large open plan office close to Haywards Heath train station.

Duties and responsibilities:


The role is varied and includes the following:
Answering the telephone professionally, quickly and efficiently, and transferring calls or taking messages where necessary

Booking video conference calls for the team

Preparing standard letters

Performing anti-money laundering and client due diligence checks

Preparing post ready for collection

Scanning and photocopying documents

Assisting with placing stationery orders

Using the firm's database to track documents stored off site

Supporting Consultant Solicitors as and when required

Opening matters and inputting data on the case management software system

Following the file closing process to ensure client files are dealt with correctly

Assisting with compliance tasks

Carrying out legal research

Assisting with marketing tasks, including management of social media accounts and some event organising.

From time to time assisting with accounting tasks and helping to manage invoicing

General office admin duties


Skills, competencies and experience required:


Applicants should have:
Good academic results

An ability to work well independently and use your own initiative

A meticulous eye for detail

High service and presentation standards

A good team player

Strong organisational and time management skills

Good IT skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

An enthusiasm to take on new challenges and broaden your knowledge base and skill set

Previous experience in a legal secretary or legal admin role is essential for this new and exciting role
