Teaching Assistant - SEN

Are you a Teaching Assistant with SEN, SEMH, ADHD, Complex Needs, SLD or MLD experience?

Our partner school is one of the biggest SEN schools in the country and they are looking to appoint experienced Teaching Assistants, who will play a huge role in ensuring that pupils of all abilities receive the high quality of education that they deserve.

About The School

  • Special Educational Needs Provision
  • All pupils at the school have a SEND diagnosis (Autism, ADHD, SEMH) and an EHCP (Education Health Care Plan) in place
  • Caters for pupils between the ages for 5 and 16 years
  • Has smaller class sizes, with at least one teacher and two support assistants
  • Provides regular training and inset days
  • Provide the opportunity for all staff to take on increased responsibility and develop their careers within education, if they wish to do so
The Role

  • Monday to Friday, Term-Time Only
  • No two days the same
  • Working on a onetoone basis, but also in classrooms with up to 10 pupils at once
  • Supporting individuals with additional needs, to learn and develop in accordance with EHCP
  • Utilising care skills to notice trigger points and manage challenging behaviour

Please note, most positions with Reed are initially temporary although you may be offered a permanent role following an introductory period.
