Full Time, Fixed Term - 12 months
The Support Planning and Brokerage service sits within the Strategic Commissioning area of Adult Care and Support.

The role involves working with other council departments including Commissioning, Finance, Contracts & Quality as well as organisations that provide services for adults with care needs.

This is a rewarding job which makes a difference to peoples' lives.

You will work closely with social workers in order to understand people's individual needs, match them with available services and present options to people who require care and support.

These services include Home Care, Residential services, Supported Living, Extra Care Housing, Day services, Respite as well as other services that help people to live their life well.

We also work with people who have been in hospital to ensure they can come out of hospital in a timely way with the right level of support.


You will be working within a busy team of 25 staff and will have the option to work for part of the week at home, with the office base at City Hall.

There will be the potential to visit and research services that provide care and support services to adults.

You will have;

How do I apply?

For permanent Bristol City Council employees, this post will be a secondment.

For employees who are currently on a fixed term contract with Bristol City Council, the secondment must not extend beyond the end of the fixed term period to ensure there is a substantive post to return to.
