Automation Control Development Engineer

Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
£40,000 - £45,000

My client is a well-respected manufacturer of test products & systems for propulsion, power train, vehicle, and component test systems.

No two projects are the same

  • You will develop & implement complex automation, mechatronic and data acquisition systems for turnkey projects
  • Delivering solutions in cutting edge automotive and industrial environments.
  • Support the sales team by providing the necessary information needed for quotations
  • Developing C# control software using the inhouse API to implement the solution.
  • Interfacing to 3rd party equipment for integration
  • Developing automation sequences
  • Create test and acceptance procedures
  • Create bespoke system functions based off the customer specification
  • Visit the client's site to install, test as well as documenting the solution this can be UK based & Global
  • Work alongside the Commissioning engineers and site managers to achieve sign off from the customer.
  • Source code management via SourceTree, BitBucket and Jira

Qualifications/ Experience/ Skills:


  • Have 5+ years' experience in a similar position
  • Has worked within a highly regulated industry on turnkey projects
  • Knowledge of VB6/VBA is useful for supporting legacy systems
  • Will hold a degree in Electrical / Mechanical/robotic/Mechatronics engineering
  • Happy to work away from home both UK & abroad
