The Audiology Team is actively recruiting for a highly motivated and dedicated Band 2 Admin Assistant to support our busy unit.
You will actively participate as a full member of the team, assisting with the smooth running of the department and by supporting the reception and administrative functions in a timely and effective way alongside Audiologists and Hearing Therapists.
We are looking for someone who can work well within a team.The ideal person will have the ability to communicate effectively with members of the public, both face to face and over the phone.
They will have an understanding of the communication needs of deaf and hard of hearing people and be happy to adapt their communication as appropriate.
The post holder will be required to perform administrative duties to a high standard in a timely manner.They will be supporting the Audiology and Hearing Therapy Team by answering queries, booking and changing appointments, answering queries, sending hearing aid batteries in the post.
Experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are essential to this roleMain duties of the job
- To book appropriate appointments and work with the team to ensure efficient use of staff resources.
- To remind parents of children using the hearing aid service of appointments To answer telephone and face to face enquiries (cancellations etc)
- To maintain Patient Administration System on a daytoday basis To maintain the Practice Navigator System on a dayto day basis
- To assist with the management of earmoulds received into the department To deal with postal requests for hearing aid batteries
- To undertake telephone hearing aid follow up clinics To undertake receptionist duties as and when required.
