Purpose of the role:


This is a critical role for the success of the business and comes with high expectations to lead and assist our Commercial line.

This includes setting the direction for the growth of your function, partnering with clients and leading the service line team to success.


You will be fully empowered to build strategic plans for your function, partnering with the rest of the senior leadership team to develop and deliver the full business growth strategy and plans to expand all service lines to penetrate into new sectors.


You will be a role model leader in the business, living our company values, and nurturing your team to grow and develop.

You will also be a strategic partner with our clients, developing and managing the relationships, going above and beyond to ensure that we are not only meeting their current needs but are also anticipating what their future needs might be, this includes identifying new business opportunities, making sure financial targets are met, and that the right team is in place to meet the needs of your clients.


It is an exceptionally exciting role, in a fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to own and shape your service line as an expert in your field.


Key responsibilities:

Commission Leadership and Client relationships

  • You will own and build strategic plans for your function,and will be accountable to expand your service line and penetrate into new sectors.
  • You will partner with the wider senior leadership team, including Heads of other service lines, to codevelop and codeliver the full business growth strategy.
  • Identifying opportunities to develop new business with existing clients and reporting such opportunities to the appropriate line manager.
  • Assisting in the production of bid documentation.


  • Financial management

  • Ensuring prompt client invoicing and utilising FMS in order to monitor a project's financial status.


  • Process improvement

  • Identifying ways in which internal systems and processes can be improved and referring ideas to the appropriate line manager.
People management

  • A key part of your role will be to lead your team, sharing your expertise, role modelling our values, coaching and nurturing our emerging leaders.
  • Your aim is to ensure your team achieve the highest standards of professional competence and technical excellence and to demonstrate this ability in all dealings with clients and professional contacts, reinforcing the profile of the company. As such, you will set the direction for development and performance management in line with the company frameworks to ensure your entire team has what they need to succeed.
  • You will help shape the Croftstone Communication plans and People Strategy to ensure engagement levels across your team and reduce attrition.
