Communications Officer


We are seeking a talented and experienced Communications Officer who shares our purpose to join our busy Communications and Marketing team.

You'll be an integral part of our family-run, values driven company where we reward engaged, positive and curious team members.


You will be responsible for producing compelling and informative content in our tone of voice which resonates with our audience and showcases the quality care and services offered.

You will be a key player in our copywriting, social media management and media relations.


As part of our dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the overall communications strategy through providing engaging and impactful content and press and PR relations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with the Head of Communications to produce content aligned with the overall communication and marketing objectives.
  • Create highquality, engaging content for various platforms, including our website, social media, newsletters and print materials.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including management teams and activities coordinators to gather insights and stories which highlight the unique aspects of our care homes.
  • Create and maintain excellent relationships with key media contacts and provide expert voices within the group for broadcast media outlets.
  • Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and effectively communicates our values and mission.
  • Maintain content calendars to ensure a consistent and timely flow of information.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay informed and generate innovative content ideas.
  • Work with management to create and plan PR strategies and campaigns to enhance our brand image and voice.
  • Write publicity content such as press releases, newsletters, website copy and promotional materials.
  • Record media coverage and measuring the impact of publicity campaigns.
  • Create posters for care homes across our group.
  • Any other content creation and copywriting as required.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Degree in English Language, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • At least two years' experience working in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in content creation, preferably within the healthcare or care home industry.
  • A proven successful track record of building and maintaining social media channels, as well as writing creative and engaging content.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across different departments.
  • A creative, solutionsdriven mindset with the ability to generate engaging content ideas.
  • Someone who thrives on working in a fastpaced, personcentred business where priorities can pivot and change.

Additional Requirements:

A full UK Driving Licence

DBS clearance

Pay:
Up to £30,000.00 per year
