CONSULTANT OTOLARYNGOLOGY POST WITH OTOLOGY INTEREST

We have close bonds with the universities in Glasgow and the MRC and have a rich record of research and teaching.

The successful applicant would be encouraged to participate and develop this role.

You will join the largest collaborative team of ENT Consultants in the UK within one of the largest state of the art teaching hospitals in Europe delivering elective, emergency and outpatient services across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

Following centralisation of emergency receiving, our inpatient services are based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, and Consultants participate in a 1 in 10 on call rota.

All newly qualified Consultants are initially offered a minimum of 1 Core Supporting Professional Activity (SPA) which includes CPD, audit, clinical governance, appraisal, revalidation, job planning and management meetings.

This will be reviewed within 6 months (or earlier if required) of appointment and revised upwards if additional responsibilities are agreed.
